Director of The Humber School of Writers,
Antanas Sileika is the author of four books of fiction, the last two of which are set at least partially in Lithuania. His most recent novel, Underground (Thomas Allen 2011 – translated as Pogrindis – Versus Aureus 2012), is set in the postwar Lithuanian anti-Soviet resistance and was named a Canadian best book of 2011 by the Toronto Globe and Mail. The novel has been optioned for film by Donelos Studija. He writes for newspapers and magazines ands reviews books for television and radio. He is the director of The Humber School for Writers and will be teaching creative writing in Vilnius in the summer of 2012 with Summer Literary Seminars.
